SACE stands for South African Council for Educators and is the professional council for educators, that aims to enhance the status of the teaching profession through appropriate Registration, management of Professional Development and inculcation of a Code of Ethics for all educators.
Section 21 of the South African Council for Educators Act, 2000 requires that:
1- Every educator contemplated by the Act must register with the Council before appointment to a teaching post
2- No person may be employed as an educator by an employer unless that person is registered with the Council.
In partnership with our strategic partners Checkid, Eduvation offers a hassle- free SACE registration service that helps you with the administrative process of your SACE application!
Additionally, The Eduvation Team provides a tailored service for teachers and schools to assist in reporting their CPTD Points to SACE and it alleviates the headache of logging your CPTD points. All educators are expected to upload their CPTD Points on a continual basis.
Please note: Unfortunately, SACE has new restrictions at their offices that prevent us from being able to take applications in physically. This means we will only be able to do online applications. Therefore, applications could take 3 months or more to be finalised by SACE, as Eduvation and Checkid have no control over how long applications take once they’re at SACE.

Please fill in the form for us to assist you. Once we receive your information we will communicate with you via email. As there is a lot of information and documentation that needs to be exchanged.
The agent will assist you with what documentation you need for your type of application. They will provide you with the most recent SACE forms you need to fill in and guide you through the process. Once the agent has received all the correct documentation from you that meet SACE’s requirements your application will be sent through to Checkid Head Office (our partner company), they will then go through your documentation again and submit it to SACE (currently, only online application).
Get in touch with us by filling in the form and we will book a session with you at your school to collect all the relevant documents and take your fingerprints for clearances. Please note: this depends on where you are based and how many teachers at your school need assistance.
Otherwise, most of the process will be done online. Once all your documents are prepared, we submit them to SACE on your behalf
When your application is complete, you receive an SMS or email from SACE if your application was done online or we courier them to you if we have taken your application in physically. Please note: SACE is not allowing us to do physical applications at the moment.
